Ventur Luxury Travel Fly East…

Our very own Leisure Consultant, Jack Giles was lucky enough to visit Bali and Singapore with ITC Luxury Travel to view some of the best properties. Take a look at Jack’s ‘ highlights below which will give you great ideas for accommodation, activities and a travel expert’s view on two must visit destinations.

‘’We visited a number of hotels during the trip, some of which included Raffles, Singapore and the W hotel in Bali. The W Hotel is a beautiful, modern resort and a must visit property. The hotel boasts a large outdoor pool, spacious rooms and a 24 hour spa offering the perfect escape. The resort has fantastic service throughout. Unique features include The W Oasis where you will find two traditional reflective ponds and a large garden for tranquillity and a place to unwind as well as a W shop where guests can purchase the latest accessories, stylish home decor or chic resort wear. For dining options, there are a variety of cuisines to suit all. I also had the opportunity to stay at the Four Seasons Resort at Jimbaran Bay in Bali. This is another stunning hotel which provides a mix of authenticity and luxury. Each villa includes oversized indoor and outdoor living areas, gardens and a private pool. Unique features include an infinity pool and an endless list of activities from watersports, cultural excursions and cooking classes. I was able to take part in a Balinese cooking class which is an activity suitable for all ages and provides with hands on experience to discover local food and cooking techniques.

I was very privileged to enjoy meals at some of the best restaurants in Bali. One in particular I would recommend is the Kubu Restaurant at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. This was a fabulous dining experience where we were served Mediterranean dishes by the Executive Chef. The restaurant offers an intimate space with 9 private cocoons overlooking the Ayung River- perfect for honeymoons or a romantic dinner.

Not only is Bali a place to relax and unwind, it is also a destination offering a range of activities and luxurious spas. I was able to experience the Spa at the Como Shambala Resort which is surrounded by tropical greenery and there is a private jungle estate walk which takes you past waterfalls, rivers, plunge pools and religious monuments.

In Singapore, the Raffles Hotel is situated in the heart of the business and civic district. This beautiful property is known for luxury and heritage and offers extraordinary service from all staff. In particular, the Raffles Butlers who are known for their charming and graceful service. It is one of the few remaining great 19th century hotels in the world. There are fourteen restaurants and bars at the hotel, where each of the menus are prepared only using the freshest of ingredients. I was able to visit the Long Bar and enjoy the famous Singapore Sling cocktail!

Activities in Singapore include a visit to Chinatown where you can explore traditional shops and markets, take a Walkway Tour which features more than 500,000 plants and a flower dome which includes 9 different gardens from 6 continents. A popular attraction and one of Asia’s largest is the Singapore Flyer which is one of the world’s largest observation wheels. It promises stunning views of the Marina Bay skyline.  Another opportunity to capture this breath-taking view is to enjoy cocktails at the Ce La Vie Sky Bar at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.

With a variety of dining options, fantastic service and beautiful hotel resorts, Bali and Singapore can create an ideal and memorable holiday.

A huge thank you to ITC Luxury Travel for hosting this amazing experience.
